Palazzo Arcivescovile
Description
The Archbishop’s Palace of Urbino is the official residence of the Archbishop of Urbino–Urbania–Sant’Angelo in Vado and also houses several diocesan offices, including the archives of the Curia and the Chapter. Located on the first floor is the Albani Diocesan Museum. The episcopal palace was originally built in the 11th century, following the relocation of the bishop’s seat within the city walls. The building underwent various renovations between the 15th and the late 16th century, coinciding with the construction of the Cathedral.
