Museo dei Gessi - Palazzo Albani

Located in Via Timoteo Viti, the Museo dei Gessi is housed within the prestigious Palazzo Albani, a historic residence that was once the home of the Albani family and the birthplace of Pope Clement XI in 1649. Today, the palace belongs to the University of Urbino Carlo Bo and also hosts university institutes dedicated to archaeology and art history.

The museum holds a small but significant collection of plaster casts of ancient sculptures, many of which are replicas of iconic works from

major European museums such as the Vatican Museums, the Louvre, and the British Museum.
